About Douglas County Community Response
The Douglas County Community Response (DCCR) Collaborative was chartered in February 2015. The Collaborative’s vision is “To inspire and mobilize a community response prevention system where children in Douglas County, Nebraska have a safe, quality family and community environment(s).” Its mission is to work across systems and community collaborations to promote child well-being, and provide a coordinated prevention system of services. In response to the pandemic, DCCR facilitated community playbook conversations through 14 meetings with different communities within Douglas County to talk about COVID-19 related needs like housing, food, and supporting older youth.
