Coaching to Support Meaningful Parent-Professional Partnerships (DAY 1)

The Coaching to Support Meaningful Parent-Professional Partnerships workshop will be broken up into two shorter days — October 6th and 8th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Explore parent-professional partnerships, identify strategies for encouraging meaningful connection between early childhood professionals and families, and highlight coaching practices that will reinforce the parent-professional partnership. The workshop will also include a review of the essential components of coaching conversations.

Participants will engage in activities to strengthen their understanding of parent-professional partnerships, reflect on their coaching practices, and make plans for coaching conversations and actions that will support partnerships between families and professionals. End the day reflecting on the essential coaching components to effectively promote the skill development of early childhood professionals.

This training is targeted towards coaches who provide coaching services to educators and will provides coaches with skills to support educators who work with families. Session 1 will highlight 8 “Getting Ready” parent engagement strategies and Session 2 will include coaching strategies for coaches to use with educators as they work with families.

Participants must have direct coaching experience prior to attending a Coach Booster Training.

Registration is FREE. There is a limit of 20 participants.
