Nebraska TPOT™ Two-day Reliability Workshop Training (Day 1)
Implementing Pyramid Model Practices
The Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT™) reliability workshop prepares participants in the use of the instrument to gather information on preschool teachers’ implementation of Pyramid Model practices. This is an intensive workshop that requires prerequisite knowledge, preparation, and participation in the entire workshop. Participants who successfully complete the workshop and meet reliability standards will receive a certificate indicating reliability status and can serve as reliability partners to other observers. Successful completion will indicate that the TPOT™ workshop participant is reliable with the Nebraska Pyramid evaluation team.
2-Day training
(Lunch provided)
DAY 1: Presenters will provide training on the TPOT™ instrument, key definitions, and scoring guidance.
Participants practice scoring indicators.
DAY 2: Presenters will continue TPOT™ training. Participants will view an entire TPOT™ observation/interview on video (2.5 hours) and score the TPOT™ to check reliability. NOTE: Being eligible to conduct TPOT™’s does not guarantee a contract will be offered for this work. Additional criteria must also be met.
