LEAD the Summer Event 2024
LEAD the Summer is an opportunity for young people across the state to connect with others with a similar lived experience. The program includes interactive leadership activities to develop a personal mission statement and find your passion project. You will also learn about advocacy and how you can impact policy in your community and Nebraska.
This event is free. Meals and snacks are provided as well as overnight lodging for participation.
During social time, attendees can explore the facilities, which include:
• a pond with paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and fishing
• an indoor pool
• Horseshoe pits, Giant Jenga, Ladder Golf, Cornhole
• Green rotunda used for baseball, soccer, kickball, etc.
• Basketball court
• 2 Bonfire pits overlooking the pond
