Amanda Jurek

Amanda is a mother of four amazing adult children and Mimi to six under six. Lover of all things rural, western, handcrafted, and agricultural-related with special interests in regenerative and sustainable practices. She is a believer in reuse and repurpose and is an avid collector and lover of all that is old… including old humans. Amanda is a University of Nebraska at Omaha grad who found a career in Human Resources working in restaurant, hospitality, and global payment software group (84 countries) where she was blessed to travel internationally and delve into cultural diversity and develop life-lasting friendships. She took a risk after baking and overnighting a cake to Dallas and started a small niche HR firm focusing on connecting top talent with industry-leading, highly successful, and ethical organizations. She has worked extensively in the higher education tech/services sector as well as e-commerce and agriculture. Amanda is married to a livestock market sale barn owner and rancher.

Amanda is also a community volunteer with a passion for being hands-on to impact those we serve. She is a past board member of The Safe Center (7 years); current board member of Buffalo County Community Partners (4 years); President and Founder of the Kearney Chapter of Royal Neighbors, a philanthropic group that focuses on women’s needs in our community; and advocate for food security and volunteer at multiple food pantries. She is a member of Soil Sisters and Misters Garden Club, Kearney Women’s Club, PEO, Foundation Quarter Horse Association, and American Quarter Horse Association.

If you can’t find Amanda look in the garden, kitchen, or barn. She competes in horse events, mainly ranch-focused, and is fortunate to have a mare that won a World Title for Versatility Ranch Horse - AQHA. Amanda's favorite place to visit is Greece, her favorite food is Italian, and she is a doer of many things not well, including leather worker, welder, sourdough baker, canner, cheese maker, and woodworker. She is a believer and follower of Christ and devoted friend to a small circle of amazing people.
