Dr. Lawrence Chatters, Chair
Dr. Lawrence Chatters serves as the Director for Strategic Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives within the Office of the Chancellor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In this role, he develops and implements strategies to build and maintain community partnerships that align with the university’s mission and the N2025 Strategic Plan. Representing both the Chancellor and the University, Dr. Chatters engages with external communities to identify and cultivate partnerships with non-profits, educational institutions, and other organizations. His efforts enhance the university’s visibility and reputation while promoting its mission and interests.
Dr. Chatters oversees community outreach programs and initiatives that support the university’s dedication to public service and social responsibility. Collaborating closely with the Chief of Staff, he contributes to strategic initiatives such as the Talent Management Initiative, University Strategy Process, and Operational Design Initiative. Additionally, he works directly with the Chancellor and Senior Leaders to advance key initiatives within their areas of responsibility, supporting the broader objectives of the Office of the Chancellor. Lawrence and his wife, Katie, have two daughters, Airalon and Mikayla.
A resident of Omaha, Dr. Chatters joined the board in 2020.
