Alex Labenz
Alex Labenz is the Associate Vice President of Housing Sustainability. Through this role, Alex supports communities to design and implement solutions to homelessness and housing instability as a mechanism to achieving well-being. Alex works closely with a diverse team of internal and external state and local partners to increase and effectively utilize resources, provide technical assistance, and support communities to implement strategies to prevent homelessness.
Alex is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Families Studies. Prior to joining Nebraska Children, Alex worked in a planning capacity for the Lincoln and Balance of State Continuum’s of Care, with a special interest on ending homelessness for youth and families. Alex has also worked within the child welfare system through state and non-profit entities. Alex’s free time is kept busy with her son, James, traveling with friends, and home improvement projects.
