Sarah May

Sarah joined Nebraska Children's research and evaluation team in April 2024. Sarah has over a decade of experience in program evaluation working primarily with two education-based nonprofits - Partners in School Innovation and Playworks. She has leveraged both qualitative and quantitative methods to support program monitoring, spread learning, and tell stories of impact. She especially loves leading equity-focused continuous improvement efforts and building capacity for liberatory uses of data. Sarah's human-centered approach to data is heavily influenced by her background as a social worker.
Sarah studied psychology and sociology at Kenyon College, and earned a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
